ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s universities are among the 500 best in the world
A British institution has released a list of 500 best universities in the world, including three Pakistani universities.
Quak Rally Symonds (QS), a British organization that monitors universities around the world, has released the 500 best universities of the year 2022.
The list includes the National University of Sciences and Technology of Pakistan (NUST 334), Quaid-e-Azam University (QAU 363), and the Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS 390).
The American University of Massachusetts Institute of Technology managed to get the first position in the list based on the best performance.
while the famous educational institution Cambridge University of the United Kingdom has been placed in the second position.
Similarly, the ten best universities in the world include five American, four British, and one Swiss university.
The National University of Singapore was named the best university in Asia, ranking 11th globally, while two Chinese universities, Peking University and Tsinghua University, were ranked 12th and 14th, respectively.
Also, remember that The Quaid-e-Azam University in Islamabad is a public research university established in 1967 under an Act of the National Assembly called the University of Islamabad.
However, in the 1980s, it was expanded and renamed Quaid-e-Azam University. Initially, Ph.D. and M.Phil degrees were taught here but later Masters’s and Graduate programs were also taught here and now undergraduate students are also taught here.
Due to its global reputation, faculty, and its teaching programs, the university is also attractive to foreign students.
10 Universities that are Best in the World:
Before this, Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad has been included in the top 500 universities in the world while it is ranked 76th in the Asian rankings.
In the ranking of universities released by the United States News and World Report, Quaid-e-Azam University is the only Pakistani university to be in the top 100 in the Asian rankings.
According to the same ranking, Aga Khan University Karachi is in 572nd position.
According to the world rankings, Harvard University came first, Moscow States Institute of Technology second, Stanford University third.
University of California fourth, Barclay’s fifth, University of Oxford sixth, California Institute of Technology seventh, University of Cambridge eighth, Columbia University ninth and Princeton University Tenth.
